Some of our customers have asked that we share jobs and projects as they are happpening.  Below are some photos and a short narrative on one of our most recent jobs in Pennsylvania   A Revolutionary War cabin that had over 50% rot was taken down and then re-erected.

   
 Each log was numbered and taken down, foundation was raised to 36 inches due to  being in flood plane.

After logs were replaced, new rafers, perlines, gables, and shake roof was installed, chinking was added using local clay and mortar.   It was then whitewashed.

  

  

 

This cabin would cost around $45,000 as it stands. Additonal items such as trucking, flooring, interior chinking and the fireplace could be finished by the owner or added into the price.   Village Restorations perfers to use local contractors for plumbing, heating, electric etc.   We will however work with them on aesthetics and functionality.
