Army Expo '23

Army Expo ’23 – PUBLIC EVENT Showcasing the Army of Today, Yesterday, and Tomorrow On Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th 2023, from 9AM to 5 PM, the U.S. Army War College will present the FIRST ANNUAL Army Expo ‘23 event at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA.

An evolution of the traditional Army Heritage Days event, ARMY EXPO ‘23 is a completely free, family-friendly event at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center that will showcase opportunities in today’s Army, 250 years of the Army’s history and heritage, and the Army of the future.

The events throughout the weekend will feature an opening ceremony from the U.S. Army’s iconic parachute team, The Golden Knights, and a concert each day from the Army Field Band’s country music group, “The Six String Soldiers,” and the 78th Army Band’s rock group, “Checkmate.”

The events program also includes a flyover and landing from a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, World War II tanks performing maneuvers, a flyover from World War II aircraft, live cavalry charges, as well as small arms and historic artillery demonstrations from different eras of Army history.

The event will feature a variety of interactive experiences perfect for the whole family including hands-on programs, STEM-linked Army unit displays, and Warrior Presentations by Army leaders. The Army Recruiting Command will be onsite with a fully interactive Army “Adventure Semi” to introduce the Soldier experience.
The PA National Guard will have a rock-climbing wall to test your agility and regional Army units will show off over a dozen current-operation combat vehicles.

There will also be historic vehicles with living historians. With more than 350 current serving Soldiers and living historian reenactors on-site, every era of Army history will be represented and ready to explore.

In addition to exciting programs and immersive displays, ARMY EXPO ‘23 also includes a number of local food trucks, conference booths from over 20 regional veterans’ groups, Army industry partners, historic organizations, and universities.

The event also presents an “Army Employment Opportunities” room and an Army Futures Room featuring wargaming, robots, and interactive engagements with VR, 3D printing, and much more.
