DID YOU KNOW THAT COW HORN WAS CONSIDERED THE PLASTIC OF THE 18TH CENTURY? FLATTENED SHEETS OF COW HORN WERE THEN CUT AND PRESSED INTO MANY SHAPES AND USES. EVERYTHING FROM FORKS, SPOONS, COMBS AND BUTTONS. ANTLER AND BONE WERE OFTEN USED FOR KNIFE AND OTHER TYPES OF HANDLES.

POLISHED HORNS
We received a new shipment of horns July 2023
Dixons Muzzleloading shop in Kempton, PA and also the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, OH will have horns. You may pre-order and come pickup at one of those two places or our shop in Hollidaysburg, PA. You may also come in and pick through horns.

The x- large and large horns are exceptional material for making cups, flask, pressed horn, etc. The mediums are as nice but smaller and would be close to what our friends in the historical field would call a “French & Indian ” size horn. Smalls are appropriate for flasks and small southern horns.
The horn on the bottom/right picture is actually 30 inches long.

Individual Horns For Sale
Finally a “one stop shop” for your polished cow horns and items related to horn making and accoutrements. Our polished horns are of high quality and come sanded and already polished. Sizes typically are 13 inches and up on large, 10-12 inches for medium and anything smaller than 10 inches is considered small. Below are happy customers looking for that perfect horn. Prices range from $10-25 depending on the horn. We also offer discounts for volume.

HORN CLASS
